Hero Passion Pro Review
"Unglamorous but genuinely dependable urban transport at an honest price."
Used Buyer Review
The Hero Passion Pro is India's bread-and-butter commuter, and honestly? It earns that reputation. For urban grinding and short-distance daily work, this little 110cc thumper just keeps going. I've seen examples with 80,000km still running respectably with basic maintenance. The engine is genuinely bulletproof if the previous owner wasn't a complete idiot about oil changes. Check the chain slack, look for oil seeping around the head gasket, and squeeze those brake levers hard — the drum brakes fade badly when worn and owners often ignore them until they're dangerous. Buying used, you're looking for rust on the frame near the footpegs and around the battery tray — these spots collect water and rot quietly. The suspension feels agricultural even when new, so if it's clunking over bumps on your test ride, walk away unless you're budgeting for new bushings immediately. Carburetor jetting issues are common on older examples; starts rough when cold but clears up? That's a rebuild waiting to happen. This isn't exciting motorcycling. It's reliable transportation, and at the right price, it absolutely delivers that promise.
