Fantic Xmf 125 Review
"A proper 125 that rewards riders who actually want to ride."
Used Buyer Review
The Fantic XMF 125 is one of those bikes that genuinely surprises you. It's built on solid Italian bones with a KTM-sourced single-cylinder engine, which means parts availability is far less terrifying than you'd expect from a smaller brand. The suspension is properly spec'd for something this size — not the wallowy rubbish you get on most 125s — and it actually holds a line through corners like it means it. Fantic clearly wanted this to feel like a real motorcycle, and mostly they pulled it off. Buying used, you need to check the exhaust headers for heat discolouration and warping — previous owners often push these hard and maintenance slips. The ECU mapping can feel slightly flat below 6,000rpm, which some owners have fiddled with, so ask questions. Service history matters here more than on most small bikes. Financially it makes sense — depreciation has already bitten the first owner hard, so you can pick up genuine quality without the new-bike premium.
