Cfmoto Cl-x 700 Heritage Review
"Genuinely good bike if dealer support exists near you."
Used Buyer Review
The CL-X 700 Heritage is CFMOTO's most convincing argument yet that Chinese bikes deserve serious consideration. That 693cc parallel twin punches well above its price bracket — smooth, tractable power that suits both city commuting and weekend blasts. The retro scrambler styling is genuinely handsome rather than cynically derivative, and build quality has improved noticeably over earlier CFMOTO models. Used examples from 2022 onward represent solid value if you're watching your budget. That said, go in with eyes open. Dealer network remains patchy depending on your location, so parts availability is the real gamble — do your homework before buying. Earlier bikes had some reported fueling quirks and occasional electrical gremlins, so always ask for full service history and check for software updates. Suspension is competent rather than brilliant; serious riders will want to budget for a rear shock upgrade fairly quickly. Inspect the frame welds carefully and listen for any transmission notchiness on cold starts. Find a clean, low-mileage example under 8,000 miles and you've got a genuinely enjoyable machine for sensible money.
