Bimota Db11 Review
"A spectacular Italian exotic that demands financial commitment and mechanical patience."
Used Buyer Review
The DB11 is Bimota doing what only Bimota does — taking a perfectly good Ducati 1100 DS engine and wrapping it in something that makes every other bike in the car park irrelevant. The trellis frame and that bodywork aren't just pretty, they're genuinely purposeful, and the handling balance is sharper than you'd expect from something this exotic. It rewards commitment and punishes laziness, which is exactly what you want from a machine at this price point. Buying used, you need to go in with eyes open. Parts availability is genuinely difficult — budget for waiting weeks, not days, when something breaks. And things will break. These were hand-assembled in Rimini by passionate people, not robots, so build consistency varies bike to bike. Always get a pre-purchase inspection from someone who actually knows Ducati desmo servicing, because the DB11 uses the same valve clearance schedule and it's expensive work. Check frame welds carefully and verify the bike hasn't been dropped — repair costs are eye-watering.
