Yamaha R15 V3

Was Käufer wissen sollten
Bulletproof Engine Reliability
The 155cc liquid-cooled VVA engine is known for exceptional longevity, often exceeding 80,000 km with proper maintenance. Regular oil changes every 3,000 km are key to keeping it in top shape.
Watch the Rear Tyre
The R15 V3's aggressive 140-section rear tyre wears faster than average, especially in sporty riding conditions. Budget for replacement every 10,000–15,000 km depending on your riding style.
Strong Resale Value
The R15 V3 holds resale value exceptionally well in the 150–200cc segment, retaining roughly 70–75% of its price after two years. Its brand reputation and racing heritage make it consistently in demand on the used market.
Generationen und Spezifikationen nach Jahr

Bewertung von gebrauchten Käufern
"The best 150cc motorcycle money can buy, used or new."
$2,500-$4,200 usedThe R15 V3 is genuinely impressive for what it is — a 155cc machine that handles like it costs three times the price. The VVA engine pulls cleanly through the rev range, and that slipper clutch feels almost too sophisticated for this segment. Chassis balance is exceptional, full stop. If you're buying used, inspect the fairings obsessively — previous owners treat these as track day toys and drop them. Check for bent subframes, stressed fork seals, and whether the quickshifter (if equipped) actually works cleanly. These engines are tough, but neglected oil changes will kill the VVA system quietly and expensively. The ergonomics are brutally sporty. Longer rides become a negotiation with your lower back, and pillions will hate you. Tank range is genuinely poor — plan your fuel stops. But here's the thing: nothing at this price point teaches you corner entry discipline faster. It rewards smooth riders and punishes ham-fisted ones, which makes you better.
