Yamaha built this thing to embarrass superbikes on a twisty road while wearing jeans, and largely it delivers on that promise. The 998cc engine pulls hard from almost anywhere in the rev range, but it's that mid-range grunt that'll have you grinning stupidly at every roundabout exit. Buying used, do your homework. These attract spirited riders, so check for crash damage around the bar ends, footpegs, and exhaust headers. The รhlins units are a major selling point but service them immediately if the previous owner can't prove they have โ neglected รhlins are expensive misery. Chain and sprocket wear is worth inspecting closely given how frequently people use that throttle.
