Tvs Ronin 225

Proven TVS Engine
The Ronin 225 uses a refined single-cylinder oil-cooled engine derived from TVS's well-tested Apache platform, giving it a solid reliability foundation. Regular oil changes every 3,000–4,000 km are key to longevity.
Watch the Electricals
Some early owners have reported minor electrical gremlins including instrument cluster glitches and USB charging port issues — worth checking before purchase. Ensure all lights and the digital console function properly during inspection.
Strong Resale Potential
As a unique neo-retro scrambler in an underserved segment, the Ronin 225 holds resale value reasonably well compared to competitors. Its distinctive styling and TVS brand backing help maintain buyer interest in the used market.
Beoordeling van gebruikte kopers
"A stylish learner that punches above its weight aesthetically."
$2,500-$3,500 usedThe Ronin 225 is genuinely one of the more interesting sub-250s TVS has put out — that semi-faired retro-scrambler look turns heads, and the 225cc single pulls cleanly enough for city commuting and occasional highway hops. Used examples are starting to appear in the $2,500-$3,500 range, and honestly that's where this bike makes real sense financially. New price was always a bit ambitious for the segment. Mechanically these are reasonably solid if maintained. Watch for neglected chain and sprocket wear — owners tend to ignore it. The suspension is tuned soft, which beginners love but experienced riders find wallowy on anything beyond smooth tarmac. Vibration through the pegs above 80kmh is real and gets tiresome on longer stints. Switchgear feels plasticky but TVS dealer networks are decent for spares. Bottom line: inspect the service history carefully, budget for a fresh chain set and possibly brake pads, and you've got a characterful learner bike that won't embarrass you aesthetically.
