Suzuki Access 125

The Suzuki Access 125 has a top speed of ~95 km/h (estimated; note: official figure not widely published), produces 8.7 hp and weighs 101 kg. Motoryk rates it 7/10.

🔧

Strong Reliability Record

The Access 125 is powered by a SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) engine known for low maintenance needs and longevity. Many owners report trouble-free running well beyond 50,000 km with regular oil changes.

⚠️

Watch the Carburetor

Older carbureted models (pre-2019) are prone to carburetor choking issues if left unused for extended periods or run on stale fuel. Always inspect fuel delivery components when buying a used unit.

💰

Holds Resale Value Well

The Access 125 retains approximately 60–70% of its value after 3 years, making it one of the better-value scooters in the 125cc segment. Its strong brand reputation and wide service network keep demand consistently high.

7.8/10

Daily urban commuters wanting low-maintenance reliable transport

"Honest, hardworking city tool that rarely lets you down."

$800-$1,800 used

The Access 125 is about as unglamorous as commuters get, but that's precisely the point. Suzuki built this thing to run forever on neglect, and mostly it delivers. The 124cc single pulls cleanly from low revs, the SEP fuel injection on newer models idles smooth in traffic, and the floorboard-style footrest genuinely makes city riding less exhausting than pegs. Used examples hold up surprisingly well — check the telescopic forks for staining and the drum rear brake for fade, because previous owners rarely service either. Where it frustrates is on the open road above 80kph, where vibration becomes your co-rider and the 5.6 litre tank starts feeling optimistic. The CVT-style automatic transmission suits beginners but experienced riders will miss direct control. For a used buy, stick to 2018 onwards for the fuel-injected variants — carb models before that gum up if left sitting. Budget for fresh rollers and belt inspection regardless of claimed mileage.
