El 525 DSX me sorprendió desde el primer día: su doble paralelo arranca sin problemas desde las 3.500 rpm y no se queda sin aliento hasta que superas con creces las velocidades legales en una carretera abierta. La rueda delantera de 21 pulgadas y la horquilla tipo USD le confieren una auténtica credibilidad todoterreno. Lo llevé por senderos rocosos y lo recorrí honestamente, no con nerviosismo. Pero si le dedicas una semana a ello, las grietas se notan: el acelerador por cable tiene una vacilación al ralentí que nunca desapareció por completo a pesar de un restablecimiento en el concesionario, los retrovisores vibran hasta quedar inútiles a más de 100 km/h y la aparamenta parece que proviene de una papelera de piezas tres niveles por debajo de la calidad del chasis. Por lo que respecta al segmento ADV chino, es una compra legítima: basta con saber que te llevas el 85% de una bicicleta de aventura europea de tamaño mediano al 55% del precio.

Tras seis meses y 4.000 km con el 525 DSX Gen 2, puedo decir que Loncin solucionó la mayoría de las cosas que molestaban a la gente de la primera versión: el mapeo del acelerador ya no se tambalea al ralentí como una mula enfurecida, y la suspensión revisada se adapta perfectamente al asfalto roto sin golpearse la columna vertebral hasta que se someta.
