Kawasaki got the proportions right โ it looks like a genuine big-inch cruiser but actually makes sense for riders who aren't ready to wrestle a 700-pound boat around parking lots. The 903cc V-twin pulls cleanly from low revs, the belt drive is virtually maintenance-free, and build quality has been consistently solid across the production run. These things genuinely last. That said, go in with eyes open. Check the carb on pre-2010 models โ they gum up if the bike's been sitting, and a proper clean runs $150-200 at most shops. Also inspect the front fork seals and look for oil weeping around the head gaskets. Neither is catastrophic, but both are common enough to negotiate on price. Highway comfort is adequate rather than exceptional โ the seat turns punishing past 90 minutes without an aftermarket pad.
