購入者が知っておくべきこと

Fuel Injected 2-Stroke

The TX 300i uses Transfer Port Injection (TPI), eliminating the need for premix oil and a carburetor, resulting in cleaner throttle response and easier cold starts. This technology significantly reduces maintenance headaches compared to traditional 2-strokes.

🔧

Watch the Power Valve

The EPGS (exhaust power valve) system requires periodic cleaning and inspection, as carbon buildup can cause flat spots in the powerband and reduced performance. Budget for cleaning every 40-60 riding hours to avoid costly repairs.

💰

Strong Resale Value

TPI 2-stroke enduros hold their value exceptionally well due to high demand and limited supply in the used market. A well-maintained TX 300i typically retains 70-80% of its value after the first year, outperforming many 4-stroke competitors.

Experienced off-road riders wanting premium two-stroke performance

"Best used two-stroke trail bike money can buy — if maintained properly."

$6,500-$9,500 used

The TX 300i is genuinely one of the best two-stroke trail bikes ever built, and the fuel injection eliminates all the jetting headaches that made older 300s a nightmare at elevation. If you find a used one, check the rear suspension linkage bearings first — they get neglected and are expensive to replace. Also inspect the exhaust header for cracks near the cylinder port, common on bikes that've seen hard use. Hours on the engine matter more than miles here, so ask for service records and pull the pipe to inspect the power valve. These bikes live hard lives, so provenance is everything. A well-maintained low-hours example is a steal. A thrashed one will eat your money in top-end rebuilds and suspension work. The engine is genuinely robust, but 'robust' has limits. Budget for a fresh piston if you can't verify the last one. Riding experience is exceptional — sharp, responsive, and surprisingly manageable for a 300. Power delivery is far more civilized than carb-era bikes, making it accessible without being boring.
