That wide 160mm rear tire, the solid disc wheels, and the low-slung profile make it genuinely menacing parked next to anything else in a lot. The Twin Cam 96 or 103 depending on year does its job with that satisfying potato-potato idle, and there's enough torque down low to feel quick without working hard. It's a cruiser that actually looks like it means business. That said, go in with eyes open. The low seat height is a blessing for shorter riders but the lack of cornering clearance will catch you out if you push it. Pre-2012 models can have primary chain tensioner issues — budget for that inspection. Cooling fins trap heat badly in traffic, your right leg will know about it.
