Harley-davidson Softail Fat Boy Lo

The Harley-davidson Softail Fat Boy Lo has a top speed of 175 km/h (estimated), produces 67 hp and weighs 317 kg. Motoryk rates it 7.5/10.

Was Käufer wissen sollten

💰

Strong Resale Value

The Fat Boy Lo holds its value exceptionally well, often retaining 70-80% of its original price after 3 years. Its iconic status and limited production runs make it consistently desirable on the used market.

⚠️

Watch the Cam Chain

Models with the Twin Cam 96 engine (2010-2017) are known for cam chain tensioner wear, which can become costly if ignored. Listen for a ticking noise at startup and budget for an inspection if buying used.

🛞

Signature Solid Wheels

The Fat Boy Lo's distinctive solid-cast disc wheels are a standout styling feature found on very few motorcycles. However, they limit tire options compared to spoked wheels, so factor in slightly higher replacement costs.

Style-focused riders wanting low, wide cruiser

"A genuine head-turner that rewards patient, relaxed riders who plan accordingly."

$8,500-$16,000 used

The Fat Boy Lo is the cooler, slammed sibling of the standard Fat Boy, and honestly it pulls it off. That wide 160mm rear tire, the solid disc wheels, and the low-slung profile make it genuinely menacing parked next to anything else in a lot. The Twin Cam 96 or 103 depending on year does its job with that satisfying potato-potato idle, and there's enough torque down low to feel quick without working hard. It's a cruiser that actually looks like it means business. That said, go in with eyes open. The low seat height is a blessing for shorter riders but the lack of cornering clearance will catch you out if you push it. Pre-2012 models can have primary chain tensioner issues — budget for that inspection. Cooling fins trap heat badly in traffic, your right leg will know about it. Used examples often have non-stock exhausts and bars, which isn't always a bad thing, just verify nothing's been butchered electrically.
