Harley-davidson Iron 883

Watch the Compensator
The starter compensator sprocket is a known weak point on the Iron 883 and can cause a loud clunking noise at startup. Budget around $200-$400 to replace it proactively, as most owners deal with this eventually.
Strong Resale Value
The Iron 883 holds its value exceptionally well compared to most motorcycles, often retaining 70-80% of its value after two years. Its iconic status and steady demand in the used market make it a relatively safe purchase.
Highly Upgradeable Platform
The Iron 883 can be easily upgraded to a 1200cc engine using a Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 conversion kit, essentially giving you a new bike. This makes it one of the most customizable entry-level Harleys available.

Recenzja używanego kupującego
"A flawed but lovable urban scrapper that earns its cult status."
$4,500-$8,500 usedThe Iron 883 is one of those bikes that looks better than it rides, but that's not necessarily a dealbreaker. It's a genuine Sportster — raw, vibey, and dripping in attitude. At highway speeds that rubber-mounted engine still buzzes your hands numb after an hour, and the tiny tank means you're stopping every 90 miles whether you like it or not. But in the city? It's actually brilliant. Flickable, narrow, and that low seat height means almost anyone can flat-foot it. Buying used, look for signs of the inevitable drop — pegs, mirrors, and levers tell the story. The Evolution-era 883 had more issues, but the post-2004 carb models and especially the 2010-and-up fuel-injected versions are genuinely solid. Watch for leaky pushrod tubes and check the primary chain adjuster. Parts are cheap and everywhere, which matters. Most owners have already bolted on a bunch of aftermarket stuff, which can be a bonus or a nightmare depending on what they touched.
