Harley-davidson Flhxs Street Glide Special

The Harley-davidson Flhxs Street Glide Special has a top speed of 177 km/h, produces 93 hp and weighs 376 kg. Motoryk rates it 8/10.

🔧

Milwaukee-Eight Engine Reliability

The Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine introduced in 2017 significantly improved reliability over previous Twin Cam motors, with better cooling and fewer oil leaks. Most owners report strong longevity past 100,000 miles with proper maintenance.

💰

Strong Resale Value

The Street Glide Special consistently holds 70-80% of its value after 3 years, making it one of the stronger-retaining Harley models. Its premium trim level and high demand keep used prices competitive.

⚠️

Watch for Compensator Noise

Early Milwaukee-Eight models (2017-2019) can develop a knocking or rattling from the primary compensator sprocket, especially when cold. Budget around $300-$600 for a replacement if purchasing a used example.

Reseña de un comprador usado

8.0/10
Lo mejor para
Experienced tourers wanting premium American long-haul comfort

"Best used touring Harley money can buy, if budgeted correctly."

$14,000-$22,000 used

The Street Glide Special is genuinely one of the better used buys in the touring segment, but you need to go in with your eyes open. The Milwaukee-Eight 114 (2017+) transformed this bike from adequate to genuinely impressive — smoother, cooler-running, and with enough grunt to haul two-up without embarrassing itself. The BOOM! GTS infotainment is legitimately good, and those Showa dual-bending-valve forks are a real upgrade over older setups. Avoid pre-2017 Twin Cam examples unless the price is seriously compelling. The real gotcha is maintenance costs. These bikes eat tires faster than you'd expect, and dealer service bills can make your eyes water. Always check for stage tuning — most examples have been fiddled with, which isn't always bad, but unlicensed tunes can cause long-term engine issues. Inspect the primary chain tensioner area for leaks and confirm the fairing lowers haven't been crashed. Budget $1,500 annually for upkeep and you'll be fine.
