That Granturismo V4 engine is a revelation; 168bhp delivered in a way that feels manageable until suddenly it really, really isn't. Used examples are starting to appear from early adopters, typically with low miles because owners treat these as weekend weapons rather than daily riders. Before you buy, pull the service history hard. Ducati's desmo service intervals are wallet-destroying — budget £1,500-2,000 every 15,000 miles minimum. Check the electronics package is fully functional; the cornering ABS and traction control systems are complex and expensive when they throw a tantrum. Inspect footpegs and lower fairings for scrape damage because owners absolutely do push these bikes.
