Used Buyer Review

The NX4 Falcon is Zongshen's attempt at a proper adventure-naked hybrid, and honestly? For the money, it punches reasonably well. The 250cc single is rev-happy rather than torquey, so don't expect to muscle it around — you work the gearbox properly or you're constantly hunting for power. Used examples around the 3,000-8,000km mark are your sweet spot before the cheaper fasteners and plastics start showing their age. Buy used and budget immediately for an aftermarket exhaust gasket, fresh coolant, and a full fluid service — previous owners rarely bother. The suspension is surprisingly competent for light trail work, but the front forks dive badly under hard braking on tarmac. Chain tension also needs watching more frequently than you'd expect. Parts availability is improving in some markets but still patchy — factor that into your risk assessment seriously. This is genuinely decent learner-to-intermediate territory if your expectations are calibrated correctly. Treat it like a budget tool, maintain it religiously, and it rewards you. Expect European reliability and you'll be disappointed every single time.

+Competitive used pricing
+Decent light trail capability
+Responsive rev-happy engine
+Comfortable upright riding position
+Low insurance and running costs

Cons
