Tvs Xl100 Heavy Duty Review
"An honest utility tool that rewards buyers who respect its limits."
Used Buyer Review
Look, the TVS XL100 Heavy Duty isn't trying to be anything it's not — and that's actually its strongest selling point. This is a moped-class workhorse built for hauling loads on rough Indian roads, and it does that job with surprising reliability. The 99.7cc single is nearly bulletproof if maintained properly, and used examples with 30,000-plus kilometres often still run strong. Check the suspension bushings first — they wear fast under heavy loads, and replacement parts availability outside South Asian markets is patchy at best. For the price you'll pay used, you're essentially getting agricultural-grade transport. Don't expect sporty handling or highway capability — it tops out around 60kmh and that's where you leave it. The cargo platform is genuinely useful though, and fuel economy around 60kmpl is hard to argue with. Mechanically simple enough that any halfway-competent backyard mechanic can sort problems without a dealer. Just be realistic about what it is. Buy it with eyes open and it won't disappoint.
