Used Buyer Review

The Sprint GT is one of those bikes that gets unfairly overlooked because it sits between categories โ€” not quite a full tourer, not quite a sportsbike. That actually works in your favour as a used buyer because prices stay sensible while the bike itself is genuinely excellent. The 1050 triple is the real story here โ€” smooth, characterful, and pulls hard from anywhere in the rev range. Long motorway stints feel effortless, and it handles far better than its weight suggests. That said, go in with eyes open. Check the luggage fitment carefully โ€” the panniers and their mounts have a reputation for cracking if previous owners weren't gentle. The throttle bodies need periodic balancing or you'll get a rough idle that'll drive you mental. Early models had some fuelling hesitation low down; a Power Commander or ECU remap largely sorts it. Also budget for tyres โ€” it eats the rear if you're pressing on regularly. Overall though, for the money you'll spend on a clean used example, it's a tremendous all-rounder that'll do track days in the morning and camping trips at the weekend.

Pros

+Triple engine is exceptional
+Genuinely capable handler
+Strong long-distance comfort
+Competitive used pricing
