Niu Mqi+ Sport Review
"Smart urban buy if battery health checks out clean."
Used Buyer Review
The MQi+ Sport is genuinely impressive for what it is — a proper urban commuter that doesn't feel like a glorified pushbike. Used examples are proliferating now, and they're worth serious consideration if your commute stays inside city limits. Battery health is the critical thing to check first; ask for the diagnostic app readout showing cycle count and capacity percentage. Anything below 80% capacity is a negotiating chip or a walkaway situation. Mechanically these are bulletproof. The hub motor has basically nothing to fail, and NIU's connected app ecosystem means most used bikes come with a full service history baked right into the software. Check the brake pads, tire condition, and that the removable battery latches click properly — worn latches are a known nuisance. Top speed caps around 45mph, which is fine for lanes but will frustrate anyone expecting A-road capability.
Pros
Cons
You need consistent motorway or dual-carriageway access
