Moto Guzzi V85 Tt Travel Review
"Buy it with your heart, but check it with your head."
Used Buyer Review
The V85 TT Travel is a proper old-school adventure bike that doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. That transverse V-twin thumps away with genuine character — it vibrates, it breathes, it sounds like a motorcycle should. The upright riding position and wide bars make long days genuinely comfortable, and the touring-spec panniers on the Travel version are actually useful rather than decorative nonsense. Guzzi got the ergonomics right here. Used, you need to do your homework. Early 2019-2020 examples had throttle body calibration issues causing rough low-speed fueling — fixable with a dealer update but annoying. Check the bevel drive shaft for play and inspect the panniers for cracked mounts. These bikes attract owners who ride them hard on gravel, so look underneath carefully. Parts availability is improving but still slower than a BMW or Triumph dealer network. This isn't the fastest, most tech-loaded adventure bike on the market and Guzzi owners know it. What you're buying is soul, style, and a genuinely different riding experience that Japanese and German alternatives simply can't replicate.
