Kove 800x Pro Review

Used Buyer Review
Let's be honest about what the 800X Pro is: a genuinely competent Dakar-flavoured adventure bike built by a young Chinese company that's still figuring out the boring stuff โ dealer networks, parts supply, and software. The 799cc parallel twin is the good news. It's punchy, revs hard for a big ADV, and the chassis with its 21-inch front and long-travel suspension is more off-road capable than a Tiger 900 Rally. It'll genuinely embarrass an R 1300 GS on a rutted trail. Buying used, do your homework. Early bikes had electrical gremlins โ dash glitches, sensor faults, the odd no-start. Check for recall and software update history, and ask for service receipts, because shops that'll touch these are thin on the ground. Inspect the fuelling behaviour at low revs; some run lumpy until the ECU's been flashed. Fit and finish is decent but fasteners corrode quickly, so a bike that's lived outside will look tired fast. At the money they're going for, it's a lot of ability. Just don't buy one expecting Japanese-grade peace of mind or a parts counter around the corner.
