If you're researching a used Indian, you'll want to double-check the actual model name before pulling the trigger, because it matters significantly when hunting for parts, service history, and community support. That said, if someone's selling you a bike badged as an 'Indian Spirit,' walk away immediately. Either they're misremembering the model name — which tells you something about how well they knew their own machine — or worse, something shady is happening with documentation.
