Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition Review
"Premium adventure capability at used prices, but verify service history religiously."
Used Buyer Review
The Norden 901 Expedition is essentially a KTM 890 Adventure R wearing a sharp Swedish suit, and that's not a bad thing. The parallel-twin pulls hard from low revs, the WP suspension swallows rough stuff without drama, and those big Baja bags are genuinely useful rather than decorative. Used examples from 2022-2023 have settled into sensible money now, and most owners have already dealt with the early software gremlins through dealer updates. That said, go in with eyes open. Check the quickshifter calibration — early units were jerky and annoyed plenty of owners. The stock seat is criminally uncomfortable beyond 90 minutes, so budget for an aftermarket unit immediately. Also verify full service history; the valve clearance check at 15,000 miles is non-negotiable on this motor and dealers don't come cheap. Wind protection is surprisingly good for an adventure bike, but the screen buffets badly at 70mph without adjustment. For the money used, it's genuinely hard to beat if you want real capability without KTM's premium pricing.
