"The sharpest Sportster ever built, still worth every dollar used."

Used Buyer Review
The 1200 Sport is the Sportster Harley should have been selling all along. That dual front disc setup and adjustable suspension actually make it handle, not just look like it handles. The 1200cc air-cooled V-twin has genuine character โ it vibrates, it breathes, it talks to you through the bars in a way modern bikes simply don't. Pull the throttle hard in second gear and it'll still surprise you. Buying used, you need to check a few things hard. Inspect the primary chain tensioner โ these wear and owners ignore them. Look for oil seeping from the pushrod tubes, which is almost a rite of passage on these engines. Sit on it and feel for a wobbly rear end; swingarm bearings go quietly and expensively. Find one with service records and you're golden. This isn't a sport bike wearing a cruiser badge โ it's a genuine middleweight with proper road manners for its era. Affordable, fixable, and deeply satisfying to ride. Just budget for maintenance from day one.
