Used Buyer Review
The Fat Boy Lo is the cooler, slammed sibling of the standard Fat Boy, and honestly it pulls it off. That wide 160mm rear tire, the solid disc wheels, and the low-slung profile make it genuinely menacing parked next to anything else in a lot. The Twin Cam 96 or 103 depending on year does its job with that satisfying potato-potato idle, and there's enough torque down low to feel quick without working hard. It's a cruiser that actually looks like it means business. That said, go in with eyes open. The low seat height is a blessing for shorter riders but the lack of cornering clearance will catch you out if you push it. Pre-2012 models can have primary chain tensioner issues โ budget for that inspection. Cooling fins trap heat badly in traffic, your right leg will know about it. Used examples often have non-stock exhausts and bars, which isn't always a bad thing, just verify nothing's been butchered electrically.
