Harley-davidson Softail Fat Boy 114 Review
"A genuinely capable, characterful cruiser that justifies its premium used price."

Used Buyer Review
The Fat Boy 114 is genuinely one of Harley's better modern efforts. That Milwaukee-Eight 114 cubic inch motor pulls hard from basically any gear, any speed โ it's the real deal for a big cruiser. Fit and finish improved dramatically over older Softails, and the hidden rear suspension actually works better than you'd expect. Look for 2018-onwards if you can; the platform was largely sorted by then. Watch for oil leaks around the primary cover, check the rear brake pads (owners neglect them constantly), and make sure the stage tune hasn't been botched by a ham-fisted dealer. Used prices are still holding firm because demand stayed strong, but you can negotiate if the bike has been heavily customized โ those aftermarket parts rarely add real value. Expect 10,000-20,000 mile examples to be perfectly fine; these motors are genuinely durable when serviced properly. Budget for tires soon after buying, the stock Michelin Commanders wear surprisingly fast under that 700-pound bulk.
