Used Buyer Review

The CVO Limited is Harley's flagship touring rig, and used examples represent genuinely good value if you shop carefully. Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine is a serious unit β€” smooth, torquey, and far more refined than older Twin Cams. Infotainment system is excellent for the class, and the paint quality on CVO models is genuinely show-stopping. These bikes were expensive new, so previous owners typically babbled over them. That said, check everything twice. Early Milwaukee-Eight examples had primary chain tensioner issues and some cam plate problems that Harley quietly addressed. Inspect the heated seat and grip electronics β€” they're notorious for gremlins after a few winters. The air-cooled/oil-cooled setup still gets uncomfortable in heavy traffic on hot days, no matter how premium the badge. Suspension is soft by European standards, though adjustable. Budget around $500 immediately for tires if the bike has any real miles β€” stock rubber is mediocre. Get a pre-purchase inspection from an independent HD tech, not a dealership with a service upsell agenda.
