Haojue Dr300 Review
"Solid Suzuki-backed commuter that rewards careful used buying."
Used Buyer Review
The Haojue DR300 is essentially a rebadged Suzuki GS300 underneath, which tells you most of what you need to know about its bones. Suzuki's involvement means the engine is genuinely reliable and the architecture is sound — this isn't your typical budget Chinese bike that'll leave you stranded. Find a used one with decent service history and you're getting real value. That 300cc single punches adequately for city work and short highway stints, though don't expect it to set your hair on fire past 100km/h. Where it falls down is the finishing details. Switchgear feels plasticky, mirrors vibrate annoyingly at certain revs, and the suspension is calibrated for someone considerably lighter than most Western riders. Previous owners often thrash these without proper warm-up, so check for blue smoke and inspect the chain carefully — neglect is common. Parts availability is improving but still patchy outside major cities, which is worth factoring in.
