Cfmoto Sr-s (450sr-s) Review
"A legitimately capable sport bike that rewards a careful used buyer."
Used Buyer Review
The 450SR-S is genuinely one of the more interesting budget sport bikes to hit the used market recently. CFMoto partnered with KTM on the engine architecture, and it shows — the 449cc parallel twin pulls cleanly from about 4,000rpm and has real character once you're past 7k. Suspension is surprisingly sorted for the price bracket, and the Bosch cornering ABS is legitimately confidence-inspiring. Build quality is better than you'd expect, worse than you'd hope. On a used example, check the chain and sprockets hard — owners who bought these as beginner bikes often skipped basic maintenance. Look for any dealer service history you can find, because CFMoto's parts network is still thin in many regions. Fork seals seem to be an early weak point based on forum chatter. Budget an extra couple hundred for peace of mind on consumables. If you can find a clean one under four grand, it's a genuinely fun middleweight that punches above its badge. Just don't expect Honda reliability or Kawasaki dealer support.
