Used Buyer Review

The CFMoto DUAL 250 is one of those bikes that punches surprisingly well for the money, but buying used means you're inheriting someone else's maintenance decisions — and Chinese brand owners aren't always diligent. The adventure-styling is genuinely attractive, the upright ergonomics work well for shorter riders, and that 250cc single pulls adequately around town and on light trails. Don't expect highway confidence though; anything above 90km/h gets buzzy and breathless. Checking the chain, front forks for leaking seals, and electrical connectors should be your first move on any used example. CFMoto's parts availability has improved dramatically, but independent mechanics still scratch their heads occasionally. The instrument cluster is a highlight — clear, modern, and functional. Plastics feel budget-grade but hold up reasonably well if previous owners weren't dropping it regularly. Look for crash damage carefully. For the price you're likely paying on the used market, it's genuinely hard to argue against. Just budget for fresh fluids, brake pads, and probably a chain and sprocket set immediately.

Pros

+Excellent used value proposition
+Comfortable upright riding position
+Modern feature-rich instruments
+Improving parts availability nationally
+Genuine light adventure capability

Cons

-Highway speeds feel strained
-Budget interior plastics quality
-Patchy independent mechanic knowledge
-Resale value drops quickly
