Cfmoto Cl-x 700 Adventure Review
"Impressive budget adventure bike if dealer support exists nearby."
Used Buyer Review
The CL-X 700 is genuinely one of the more interesting budget adventure bikes floating around the used market right now. Powered by a CFMoto/KTM-derived 693cc parallel twin, it pulls cleanly through the midrange and doesn't feel embarrassed next to similarly-priced Japanese rivals. The retro-scrambler styling is legitimately attractive, and build quality is noticeably better than you'd expect from a Chinese brand circa 2019. Check the suspension linkages carefully on used examples — they can get grumbly if the previous owner skipped greasing intervals, which many do. Electronics are basic but functional; you get ride modes and traction control, which is more than competitors at this price point offered. The real gotcha with used examples is parts availability. CFMoto's dealer network is still patchy in many regions, so verify your nearest service point before committing. Tyres wear reasonably, and the engine is famously reliable if serviced properly — pull the service history or walk away. For the money, it's a legitimate motorcycle, not a compromise.
