Cfmoto 450mt Review
"Impressive Chinese adventure bike that rewards careful used buying."
Used Buyer Review
The 450MT is CFMOTO's most credible attempt at cracking the mid-size adventure market, and honestly, they've largely pulled it off. The KTM-derived 450cc parallel twin punches surprisingly hard for the displacement, the WP suspension (yes, actual WP gear) handles mixed tarmac and gravel competently, and the TFT dash looks properly premium rather than budget afterthought. Used examples are appearing around the $5,500-$7,000 mark now, which represents genuine value against comparable Japanese iron. Here's where the honesty kicks in though — early 2023 bikes had some throttle-by-wire gremlins and a few owners reported dodgy USB charging ports failing early. Check the service history carefully and make sure software updates have been applied. The dealer network is still thin in plenty of regions, which matters when something does go wrong. Parts availability is improving but isn't Honda-level reliable yet. If you're buying used, inspect the chain and sprockets hard — owners who thrashed these early without proper lube intervals did real damage. Get one from a rider who clearly understood what they had.
