Ergonomics are upright and comfortable, the suspension is sorted, and build quality is vintage BMW: everything feels like it'll outlast you. On used examples, check the final drive for any whine and inspect the exhaust headers for bluing, which suggests hard running. Mileage matters less here than service history — these engines are bulletproof if maintained properly. The riding position suits medium to tall riders best. Shorter riders will find the reach to the bars slightly awkward. It's not a sportsbike and never pretends to be, but corner it firmly and it rewards confidence.
