Что следует знать покупателям

🏗️

Aluminum frame, huge torque

The XV1900 Roadliner/Stratoliner uses a cast-aluminum frame — rare on cruisers — keeping weight down while its 113ci (1,854cc) pushrod V-twin makes roughly 120+ lb-ft of torque just above idle. It out-pulls most stock big-inch American twins yet steers noticeably lighter.

🔧

Watch heat and lean tuning

These air-cooled twins run hot in traffic, and many were fitted with aftermarket exhaust/intake without proper fuel tuning — causing decel popping, surging and extra heat. Also check for weepy pushrod-tube/cam-cover oil seepage, clunky shifting or a hard-to-find neutral, and belt/rear pulley condition since belt jobs aren't cheap.

💰

Cheap to buy, cult following

Because the Roadliner/Road Star never had Harley's badge cachet, used prices are well below equivalent Milwaukee machines while mechanical reliability is generally excellent (mostly battery, stator/regulator and neglect-related failures). Well-kept, low-mile Stratoliner and Midnight-trim bikes hold value best, and Star-specific accessories and parts are still readily available.
