Triumph Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition

The Triumph Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition has a top speed of ~220 km/h (estimated, electronically influenced), produces 150 hp and weighs 243 kg. Motoryk rates it 8.8/10.

Triumph Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition, Triumph'un amiral gemisi macera turlarının birinci sınıf, görsel olarak ayırt edici versiyonlarını sunma çabasının bir parçası olarak 2023 civarında tanıtılan Tiger 1200 GT/Ralli serisinin sınırlı bir özel sürüm çeşididir. 2022'de piyasaya sürülen üçüncü nesil Tiger 1200 platformu üzerine inşa edilen ve yeni 1160cc T-plane üçlü motoru ve selefine göre önemli ağırlık azaltımı sunan Alpine Edition, yüksek irtifa dağ ortamlarından esinlenen benzersiz renk şekillerine ve süslemelere sahiptir. Triumph'un üst düzey macera segmentinde ayrıcalık arayan sürücüleri hedefleyen koleksiyoncu odaklı bir varyant olarak öne çıkıyor.

Watch the Electronics

Early Tiger 1200 GT/Rally models (2022+) have reported occasional software glitches affecting the TFT display and rider modes — ensure the latest firmware update has been applied, as Triumph has addressed most issues via dealer updates.

900cc Engine Advantage

Despite its adventure touring size, the 1160cc triple engine is known for strong long-term reliability with relatively low maintenance costs, requiring valve checks only every 16,000 miles — significantly longer intervals than many competitors.

Long-distance tourers wanting genuine off-road credibility

"The best big adventure triple money can buy used."

$10,000-$16,000 used

The Alpine Edition is essentially a dressed-up Tiger 1200 XCa with some tasteful cosmetics and marginally better kit, but don't let the badge fool you into paying a premium. The 1215cc triple is genuinely brilliant — smooth, characterful, and tractable from tickover to redline. The semi-active suspension is a revelation on mixed terrain, and the 30-litre tank range makes proper long-haul touring actually viable rather than theoretical. Buy used and watch for a few things. The original TFT screen develops dead zones on earlier examples — budget for that. Shaft drive means zero maintenance headaches, but check the bevel box for weeping seals around 20,000 miles. The heated grips on these are genuinely powerful, not the usual token warmth. Earlier bikes had software gremlins with cornering ABS that Triumph quietly addressed through updates, so verify the dealer history shows the recalls done. At the right used price, this is one of the most accomplished big adventure bikes ever built. Get below £12,000 and you're laughing.
