Ktm Enduro 500 Exc

The Ktm Enduro 500 Exc has a top speed of 175 km/h (estimated; note: not optimized for top speed, gearing is off-road biased), produces 65 hp and weighs 108 kg. Motoryk rates it 7.8/10.

⚙️

Strong Resale Value

The 500 EXC holds its value exceptionally well compared to competitors, often retaining 70-80% of its value after two years. Demand stays high due to its dual-sport versatility and loyal KTM fanbase.

⚠️

Watch the Valves

Valve clearance checks are critical on the 500 EXC and are often neglected by previous owners, leading to costly repairs. Always verify valve service history before buying used.

🏍️

Street-Legal Powerhouse

The 500 EXC is one of the most powerful street-legal single-cylinder motorcycles available, producing around 63 horsepower in a lightweight 105 kg package. This makes it uniquely capable for both road commuting and serious off-road riding.

Najlepszy dla
Experienced dual-sport riders wanting genuine off-road performance

"An exceptional machine that punishes neglectful previous owners — and their buyers."

$6,500-$10,500 used

The 500 EXC is KTM's big-bore enduro weapon, and used examples are everywhere right now — which tells you something about how hard owners push them. That LC4-derived single thumps out serious torque and will genuinely embarrass trail bikes twice its price, but these engines drink oil and the WP suspension needs constant attention to stay dialed in. Buy one that's been serviced properly and it's brilliant. Buy a neglected example and you're funding someone else's rebuild. Checking used ones, look hard at the airbox and filter — dusty neglect kills these motors fast. The six-speed gearbox is slick when healthy but develops a notchy first-to-second shift when worn. Hour meters rarely tell the full story; focus on the PDS shock condition and whether the header pipe is heat-blued from lean running. Pre-2017 models had intermittent fuel mapping issues that proper tuning typically sorted. Run well, this is one of the most capable dual-sport machines money can buy. Run hard and ignored, it's an expensive lesson.
