Die KTM 790 Adventure R wurde 2019 als Offroad-Variante der 790 Adventure vorgestellt. Sie wurde entwickelt, um im mittleren Adventure-Segment direkt mit der BMW F 850 GS Adventure zu konkurrieren. The electronics package — cornering ABS, multiple riding modes, traction control — is genuinely class-leading for the era.
