Check the subframe and bash plate religiously — the stock subframe is notoriously fragile and a cracked one means an expensive repair before you even ride it home. The Duke-derived 373cc single is bulletproof if serviced properly, but KTM's service intervals are tight and owners often skip them. That said, when everything's right, this thing punches embarrassingly hard above its weight class.
