Esta moto de 654 cc arranca con fuerza desde 3000 rpm con un par que se siente casi como el de un diésel en tierra suelta, y el chasis delgado te permite lanzarla como una moto de cross de verdad a pesar de su peso en vacío de 158 kg. El asiento es un instrumento medieval de sufrimiento después de dos horas, los retrovisores vibran y se vuelven inútiles a más de 100 km/h y la suspensión de serie es lo suficientemente suave como para que las curvas rápidas de asfalto requieran un compromiso y una confianza reales. Pero nada más en 2008 ofrecía esta capacidad genuina de doble deporte a este precio: fue toda una revelación, con sus defectos incluidos.

That LC4 engine is a screamer when healthy — 67hp from a thumper feels almost violent — but neglected examples with sketchy service history will punish you financially. Check the valve clearances obsessively. KTM specifies tight intervals and previous owners routinely skip them. The chassis is where this bike earns its reputation. WP suspension that actually works, a proper subframe, and geometry that makes technical trails feel approachable. It's genuinely light too, which matters when you're hauling it out of a ditch. Fuel range is the elephant in the room though — 13 liters disappears fast and you will get stranded if you're not planning stops. Pre-2019 models had some known fuel injection gremlins and a clutch that drinks fluid. Post-2019 is significantly sorted. Budget for consumables regardless — these bikes work hard and parts aren't cheap. Worth every penny if maintained right.
