Những điều người mua nên biết

🔧

Last of the Evo Softails

These bikes use the proven air-cooled 1340cc Evolution V-twin, widely regarded as one of Harley's most reliable engines — 100,000+ miles is common with basic maintenance. Unlike the Twin Cam 88 that replaced it in 2000, the Evo has no cam chain tensioner issues, making it a favourite with long-term owners.

⚠️

Check the rear isolators

The rigid-mounted engine transmits heavy vibration, so inspect for cracked exhaust brackets, loose fasteners and weeping rocker box and base gaskets — oil seepage is the classic Evo complaint. Also check the 1996-98 era charging system (stator and voltage regulator) and the swingarm pivot bearings for play.

💰

Strong, stable resale value

Evo Softails have bottomed out and are now appreciating as the last carburetted, pre-Twin Cam generation, with the Fat Boy (FLSTF) commanding the biggest premium thanks to its Terminator 2 fame. Original paint, unmolested wiring and documented service history add thousands over a heavily customised example.
