Benelli Trk 502

The Benelli Trk 502 has a top speed of 175 km/h, produces 47 hp and weighs 238 kg. Motoryk rates it 6.5/10.

⚙️

Watch the Electrics

The TRK 502 has a known history of minor electrical gremlins, including faulty switches and instrument cluster issues. Inspect all lights, indicators, and the dash carefully before buying used.

💰

Soft Resale Value

Benelli's limited brand recognition in Western markets means the TRK 502 depreciates faster than Japanese rivals like the Honda CB500X. This is great for buyers but worth knowing if you plan to resell.

🛡️

Surprisingly Well-Equipped

The TRK 502X variant comes standard with wire-spoke wheels, longer-travel suspension, and off-road-capable tires at a price point significantly below European adventure competitors. It offers strong value-per-feature for budget adventure riders.

New tourers wanting looks without premium price

"Honest budget tourer that rewards careful buying and realistic expectations."

$3,500-$5,500 used

The TRK 502 is one of those bikes that looks like a proper adventure tourer but reminds you why it costs half what a Triumph Tiger does. That parallel twin is smooth enough around town and genuinely comfortable on longer runs, but it runs out of breath above 90mph — keep that in mind on motorways. Build quality is the real conversation. Early examples had electrical gremlins and the switchgear feels like it came from a budget parts bin. Check the wiring loom carefully on anything pre-2019. That said, for the money it makes a surprisingly decent fist of weekend touring. The suspension is soft but sorted for UK roads, the seat is genuinely comfortable for a full day's riding, and parts availability has improved massively. Benelli dealers are still patchy though, so factor in independent servicing costs. Buy one with full service history, avoid anything that's been dropped hard, and budget £300-400 for immediate consumables. It's not a Tiger. It doesn't need to be.
